Aspen’s Skiing Vacation

Aspen, Colorado could be called Americas skiing capital of the world. This is not only a nationally recognized city but also an internationally famed one. It is a resort city built around skiing and other summer sports. As you can guess, the most popular sporting activities are Aspen skiing, sleighing, sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. To get started in your favorite winter sport then visit one of four areas set up in the Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Highlands and Buttermilk.

What happens in the summer? Aspen doesn’t close down, not with this many visitors ready to experience the city! There are plenty of land activities even when the snow melts such as mountain biking, white water rafting, paintball, paragliding and hot air balloon rides. Golfing is a popular activity and the Snowmass Golf Course is one of the most popular locations. This course has an 18-hole, par-72 course that amounts to nearly 7,000 yards of green.

After wearing yourself out in sports you can still enjoy Aspen’s thriving social life including musical events and concerts, found at Belly Up and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass. The John Denver Park is a relaxing escape while the Maroon Bells is a great location for taking scenic pictures.
